The Venue: Hotel Bayerischer Hof
The Hotel Bayerischer Hof is a Munich institution. Few other hotels in Europe manage to combine tradition with modern configurations and five star luxury quite like this house does.
The history of Bayerischer Hof goes back to 1839 when King Ludwig I himself commissioned the luxury establishment in the Bavarian capital from his favourite architect, Friedrich von Gärtner. After completion in 1841, regular updates and refurbishments guaranteed that the family business would remain fit for kings to this day. In 1974 the hotel became a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Starting in 2005 renowned modern architects such as Andrée Putman and Axel Vervoordt contributed their designs to the spa area and interiors. A new wing was opened in 2018 which will offer our delegates a range of new room designs and suites to choose from.
The 33rd EAED Spring Meeting will take place in the newly refurbished meeting facilities. Modern video and presentation technology will bring our program to life and help you take your eyes off the stunning interiors.
The hotel is based in the heart of Munich, just a short walk from the opera house, the Cathedral Church of Our Lady and various museums. The exclusive boutiques in the vicinity of the hotel are ideal for a spot of shopping. If you prefer a more natural setting, you’ll be right at home in the verdant surroundings of the Hofgarten park.
